Analysis of the core differences between natural marble and artificial marble: 1. Composition and formation mechanism. Natural marble: It is a natural metamorphic rock, primarily composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). It is formed through the recrystallization of limestone or dolomite under high temperature and pressure in the earth's crust, containing trace amounts of impurities such as iron and magnesium. Its texture originates from the natural deposition and mineral distribution during geological movements. Artificial marble: It is made using unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, mixed with natural stone powder (such as calcite and dolomite), pigments, and curing agents. It is produced through vacuum vibration molding, curing, and polishing, and is classified as an artificial composite material.
