Daily maintenance guide for quartz stone countertops
Core maintenance principles
Instant cleaning of stains: Colored liquids such as soy sauce, red wine, coffee, oil stains, etc. must be wiped clean within 5 minutes to avoid prolonged retention and penetration (even non porous, inferior resins may still slowly penetrate).
Use neutral cleaning agents: it is recommended to use water and mild detergent, or specialized quartz stone cleaning agents; Do not use strong acids (such as toilet cleaner), strong alkalis (such as caustic soda), scouring pads or steel wire balls containing abrasive particles.
Avoid sudden cooling and heating: Hot pots and baking pans are strictly prohibited from being placed directly on the countertop, and insulation pads or pot racks must be used; Do not rinse cold countertops with hot water in winter to prevent thermal stress cracking.
Protect edges and seams: The edges of the countertop are stress concentration areas to avoid collisions; Regularly dry the joints with a dry cloth to prevent water accumulation and mold growth. Special sealant can be used to fill the joints every six months.
Keep away from chemical solvents: acetone, nail polish remover, paint thinner and other organic solvents may corrode the resin matrix, causing the surface to lose light or change color.
